Hollywood studios – the sets
Jeannie’s home, Major Nelson’s house and the NASA offices were studio sets in Los Angeles, filmed on soundstages around Sunset Boulevard and later at 20th Century Fox.
Edwards Air Force Base – “NASA”
The space-program exteriors used Edwards Air Force Base in the Mojave desert, its runways and hangars doubling for the Florida launch facilities the show is set at.
Cocoa Beach – the setting only
Although set at Cocoa Beach, Florida, near Cape Canaveral, the series never actually filmed there – the Space Coast exists only in the story.
