This Cookie Policy explains how FilmingMap (“we“, “us“, “our“) uses cookies and similar technologies on filmingmap.com (the “Site”). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

2. How we use cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies, grouped into the categories below. Under UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations), non-essential cookies are only set with your consent, which you give through our cookie banner.
Strictly necessary
These are essential for the Site to function and cannot be switched off. They include a cookie that remembers your cookie-consent choice, and security/performance cookies set by our CDN provider, Cloudflare. If you are a logged-in administrator, WordPress also sets session cookies.
Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (via Google Site Kit) to understand how visitors use the Site in aggregate – for example which pages are popular. Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_<id>. These help us improve the Site. See Google’s cookie information.
Advertising (planned)
We do not currently show advertising. We may in future use Google AdSense, which would set advertising cookies to show and measure ads. If we do, those cookies will only be set with your consent, and this policy will be updated to list them.
Functional (local storage)
We use your browser’s local storage (not a cookie sent to our servers) to remember practical preferences, such as your last position on the interactive globe. This stays on your device and can be cleared through your browser.
3. Managing your choices
You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through the cookie banner shown when you first visit. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, which let you block or delete cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the Site works.
To opt out of Google Analytics across websites, you can install Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
4. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties we use, such as Google (analytics and, in future, advertising) and Cloudflare (security and performance). Those parties process data under their own privacy and cookie policies.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes. The “last updated” date shows when it was last revised.
